I am Roberto Gonzalez, President & Executive Director of Global Purpose Alliance Foundation. This organization was established from a deep conviction that God calls each of us to serve others and to use our gifts to create opportunities that uplift lives and strengthen communities. Throughout my personal and professional journey, I have witnessed how collaboration, education, innovation, and servant leadership can transform not only individuals but entire generations. That conviction became the foundation of this organization.

Global Purpose Alliance Foundation exists to unite governments, academia, industry, philanthropy, faith communities, and civil society to advance education, scientific discovery, innovation, economic mobility, and global collaboration. We believe that the world’s greatest challenges can only be solved when people and organizations work together with integrity, humility, and a shared commitment to the common good.

Our mission extends beyond providing resources. We seek to inspire leaders, strengthen families, equip communities, and create sustainable opportunities that empower people to discover their God-given purpose and reach their fullest potential.

Everything we do is guided by our core values of faith, integrity, excellence, compassion, innovation, collaboration, and servant leadership.

History

Roberto González, President.

From a very young age I understood that God has a purpose for each person. Nothing we experience happens by chance. Every door that opens, every challenge, every success, and every trial are part of the process He uses to shape us and prepare us to fulfill His will. When I look back on my life, I can recognize God's hand at every stage. He has been the One who has sustained me in difficult moments, who has given me strength to keep moving forward when circumstances seemed impossible, and who has placed the right people in my path at just the right time.

Throughout my life I have had the privilege of building companies and working with clients from different industries in the United States and Mexico. Thanks to that, I have visited hundreds of manufacturing plants and met business owners, executives, workers, entrepreneurs, and people with very different stories.

But while many saw businesses, contracts, or projects, God began to change the way I saw things. He taught me to see talented people without opportunities. Young people with big dreams who only needed guidance. Fathers and mothers working hard every day to provide for their families. Entrepreneurs with extraordinary ideas but without the contacts or resources needed to make them a reality. Communities full of potential, waiting for someone to believe in them.

Over time I understood that God had not allowed me to build companies solely to achieve professional goals or generate financial results. He was entrusting me with something much greater: the opportunity to serve others using everything He had given me. Then a question began to constantly occupy my heart:

How can I use everything God has allowed me to learn, build, and experience to help many more people?

I wasn't talking only about financial resources. I thought about the experience gained over so many years. About the relationships God allowed me to build. About knowledge. About opportunities. About the ability to connect people. About the possibility of opening doors for those who haven't found them yet.

The more I prayed about it, the more clearly I understood that God was calling me to do something that went beyond business.

I felt it was time to create a nonprofit organization whose purpose would be to serve, develop people, unite efforts, and create opportunities for those who need it most. Not as a personal project. Not to receive recognition. But as an act of obedience and gratitude to God for everything He has done in my life.

I dream of an organization that brings together business owners, leaders, professionals, churches, universities, and people willing to put their talents at the service of others. An organization that helps people discover the purpose God has for each of them. That drives entrepreneurship. That promotes education, leadership, and values. That creates job opportunities. That strengthens families. That supports communities. And that inspires others to serve with love, integrity, and excellence.

I believe that true success does not lie in what we manage to accumulate, but in what we are able to plant in the lives of other people.

At the end of my life, I don't want my legacy to be only the companies I built.

I want my greatest legacy to be having been an instrument in God's hands to open doors, transform lives, and show that when we put our talents at His service, the impact can reach far beyond anything we ever imagined.

That is the dream God has placed in my heart.

And I trust that, step by step, He will keep showing the way to make it a reality.

There are causes we support with reason, and others that are born from the heart. For me, serving this foundation is both.

For more than a decade I have served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), leading areas of strategy, administration, finance, and organizational development. That experience has taught me that an organization can have a great mission, but it only manages to transform lives when it has responsible management, a clear vision, and an ongoing commitment to transparency and sustainability. However, becoming a mother profoundly changed the way I see life. Since then, every unprotected child, every young person who lacks opportunities, every single mother struggling to provide for her family, and every older adult who deserves to live with dignity hold a very special place in my heart.

I firmly believe that when we arrive in time with love, guidance, and opportunities, we can change the course of a life. No one should have their future limited by the circumstances they were born into.

I also think about our older adults. All of us, God willing, will reach that stage of life, and I want us to live in a society where every person is cared for, respected, and valued.

My faith is the foundation of this commitment. Jesus taught us that serving those most in need is serving Him. That truth inspires my desire to be part of this mission.

My prayer is that God will use this foundation to bring hope, restoration, and new opportunities to those who need them most, and that every life we are able to impact reflects His love and His faithfulness. I trust that the years of professional experience I have gained will allow me to help build a solid, transparent, and sustainable foundation, capable of expanding its reach and maximizing the impact of its mission to serve more people with excellence and love.

My life story began in 2005, when in my faith community I received a calling that would change my life. We were taking part in a study called A Purpose-Driven Life, and there I discovered something I had never understood before: that we are all born with a divine purpose. Until that moment, I had never heard that there was a special purpose for my life. This discovery impacted me deeply and led me to relentlessly seek God for six months, asking Him every day: what is my purpose? Finally, on June 5, 2005, I discovered my purpose: "To teach biblical principles to business owners in order to reach souls and lead them to success through Christ." At that time I was working as an executive at a company, but due to massive layoffs I was notified that I would also be let go. Far from feeling worried, I felt peace, because I understood that God was opening the door for me to follow my calling.

In the years that followed, I met several business owners who believed in my vision. One of them introduced me to the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International, who invited me to join the organization. For seven years I was part of FCCI, learning and witnessing the transformative power of applying spiritual principles in the business world.

In 2012, God expanded my mission. After a period of inner struggle and a crisis of faith, I began developing a methodology unique in the world to help people discover and live out their life purpose.

Finally, in 2018 I published the book Vive Tu Propósito (Live Your Purpose). And four years later, together with my wife, we had our first experience raising funds to launch the Purpose Institute, with the mission of "Focusing lives so they may live out God's purpose." There we learned that it is not an easy task, but when a vision is born from God's heart, He always provides for it to be fulfilled. Today, looking back, I recognize how every step, difficulty, and decision was part of the process to fulfill the purpose He had for my life.

And from that same purpose, an even greater vision was born.

When we began to dream of what is today Global Purpose Alliance Foundation, I understood that it was no longer just about providing for a personal vision, but about being a means to make the dreams of many people, who remain stuck for lack of money, come true.

I deeply believe that GPAF was born in the heart of God, as a channel to bring His abundant provision to where it is most needed. One of my mentors taught me a phrase that became a guiding principle in my life: "Vision does not follow money; money follows a vision." When the vision is bigger than you are, He Himself provides the resources to sustain it.

That is why we believe this foundation exists to bring His abundance to where faith needs to be shared, so that the love of Jesus can transform lives, families, communities, and entire nations. We want to be part of the "God Opportunity", which means this: He wants to close the gap between what is possible for us and what He wants to do, something that, in our eyes, seems impossible, but is not impossible for Him.
